Roy Newport is a full time Canine Behaviourist in Cornwall he travels to client’s homes to evaluate and modifying Canine behaviour, Roy owns and runs a dog walking company called ‘Ruffwalkers’ and is keen to impress the high standards required to do the job properly.
After finishing his military service with the Royal Military Police due to injury in Afghanistan Roy initially used his dog to aid recovery both mental and physical and has a great understanding of the benefit of bonding with our four legged friends.
He also takes great pride volunteering on the telephone for a large dog rescue charity giving help and advice to new owners with problem dogs.
His knowledge of dogs leads him on his path to focus on helping dog owners get the most out of content, well-behaved dogs by giving behavioural advice and training and resolving unwanted and problematic behaviour in all breeds of dogs.
Roy enjoys hands-on training with his clients with a real interactive approach to issues that have arisen, from aggression to anxiety, over excitement to loss of control. Roy's friendly manner and range and depth of experience in many different areas makes him very well qualified to advise and support dog owners on all aspects of dog care.
Roy has had many dogs but his current is a 3 year old pug called Darcy. As you would expect Roy is Fully insured, Dbs checked has his dog first aid, is a proud member of the CFBA and is a master trainer with GODT (guild of dog trainers) vet recommended, and has many references available for his work.
